Ratter light

RUAG have just sent us the new Lightforce Pred3X tactical gunlight, which they’ve dubbed ‘The Ratter’. Priced at £126, inclusive of a neat presentation box and scope-mounting adaptor, the 180-gram unit is constructed from 6061 grade aluminium and emits a 220-lumen beam through its toughened, ultra-clear glass lens courtesy of its high-powered CREE LED and a specially treated aluminium reflector. Sealed with multiple O-rings, the two rechargeable 3.7v 700mAh batteries can be revitalised in four hours by way of the supplied mini-USB cable and they give enough juice to illuminate out to 80 metres – with no hot-spotting – and a continuous run-time of around 90 minutes. The light will also run on a single battery, with a reduced run-time. The Ratter has a neat cam-shut clamp (Picatinny fit) for easy fitting and removal – and is also available without the adaptor, price £112.
