A brand new hall for Northern Shooting Show 2017

 

unnamed(6)The Yorkshire Agriculture Society have just completed the largest project in their history: a brand new hall at the Yorkshire Event Centre. The impressive£12m structure will provide an extra 1,000m2, boasting an additional café and meeting rooms.unnamed(3)

The Yorkshire Event Centre will be able to offer the biggest single event space in the North East. The hall itself has no pillars, offering a beautiful, easy-to-use space that will be ideal for exhibitors at next year’s Northern Shooting Show.

NEW HALL FACTS AND FIGURES

  • Total floor space: 4,320m2
  • Length: 120m
  • Width: 36m
  • Cost to build: £12m
  • Internal Height: 8m
  • 420 tonnes of steel in the frame – more than double the weight of the Angel of the North
  • 34,800 stone blocks
  • Equivalent to 3.5 olympic-sized swimming pools
  • External feature wall of copper and dry stone
  • Solar panels on the roof and the bathrooms feature fittings made of recycled consumer plastic
