Grey Control

Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) is working with BASC to put farmers in touch with shooters in a bid to protect Northern Ireland’s threatened native red squirrel by reducing numbers of non-native grey squirrels. The joint BASC NI and UFU pest control scheme has already enabled shooters to help farmers deal with feral pigeons in buildings and woodpigeons damaging crops.
