The Ranges to open its doors following 9-month rebuild

In July 2018 The Ranges in Devizes, home to the Wiltshire Shooting Centre and Wiltshire Ballistics, was badly damaged following a kitchen fire.

Since then the team at The Ranges have worked tirelessly to get both the shop and the range open again.

On 30 March, the doors will open formally, following an investment of over £250,000 into the repair and renovation.  The shop has benefited from a full rebuild, the 25yd range now has access to a members’ and seated viewing area, and is equipped with electronically controlled Intarso targets. Additionally, a new 50yd range has been built, also fitted with Intarso targets and a seated viewing area.

The grand opening takes place on Saturday 30 March between 11am and 4pm.

Entry is £6 on the day, or £5 if bought in advance online or in the shop.

All proceeds will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity as a thankyou for all their efforts back in July.

There will be food and refreshments available between 12pm and 2pm, and shooting will be available on a first come first served basis, following the official opening at 12:30pm. The fire crew from Devizes will be present with an appliance, and there will be some amazing prizes to auction off to help raise additional funds for the charity.

There will also be limited tours available of the ballistic testing facility at the rear of the tunnel.

The whole family is welcome – if you have ever wondered what it is like to shoot, this could be your opportunity to give it a go.

Tickets can be purchased at https://www.wiltshireshootingcentre.co.uk/
