Airgun Shooter was recently invited to Brocock‘s new purpose-built factory in Staffordshire… and while we were having a nosey-around, we ‘went inside’ a couple of crates and snapped this exclusive image of the latest stock design for the Contour.
Cradling an S6 Elite action here, you can see that the revamped stock is very stylish – hardly surprising given it’s been created and manufactured in walnut by none other than Italian stockmaking supremo, Minelli (who are responsible for the luxurious woodwork adorning many of the world’s top airgun manufacturers’ models).
We had just enough time to shoulder the gun (before having to put it back in its box!), and can tell you that while still retaining the sleek, skeletal lines that made this compact little sporter such a sought-after model, the new stock comes to the shoulder beautifully. We particularly like the new-style ambidextrous ‘thumbhole’ grip, and the diamond-pattern chequering is not only sharp and very aesthetic, it’s also very practically positioned on the forestock.
We believe the new woodwork will be rolling out to UK gun shops later this month, with ‘export’ orders not far behind.
