Here’s the first-ever picture of the new Fieldsman combo from Umarex’s exclusive UK distributor, Armex.
Modelled around the highly advanced break-barrel action of the Walther LGV springer, the Fieldsman is supplied as a combo which includes a mounted Browning 3-9×40 scope and a leather-look, Force One custom gunbag.
To the end of the carbine (14-inch) barrel, Armex has affixed its BORG-1 silencer – an incredible new development in the field of sound suppression.
Standing for Barrel Overlay Refracting Generation 1, the BORG-1 features PABT (Positive Acoustic Break Technology) – effectively ‘sound engineering’ that utilises two different materials in the make-up of the unit.
The physics behind this generates an acoustic break principle – and while the theory behind it all may appear double-Dutch, it certainly works on the Fieldsman! We’ve currently got one on test and will bring you a full report next issue.
Available in .177 and .22, there are two models – the synth-stocked Challenger (shown) and the beech Master, priced at £399 and £435 respectively.
