UK-based scope mount maker Sportsmatch has introduced a DM80 version of its Dampa to suit 22mm Weaver/Picatinny-fit dovetail rails, and scopes with objectives up to 56mm. The Dampa was originally designed by Theoben (and manufactured by Sportsmatch) with rubber bushes between the base and rings to absorb ‘snappier’ firing cycle of Theoben’s gas-ram airguns, which had a propensity to snap the crosshairs of many scopes into two. Equally suitable for springers, the DM80 costs the same as the DM60 (11mm clamp, scopes up to 50mm) – £52.95.
