Funding for airgunners

Target airgun shooters, James Huckle and Jen McIntosh, are among the shooters to benefit from UK Sport funding – and take a place on the lottery-backed World Class Performance Programme, which ensures athletes receive continued support in a range of ways for their 2016 Olympic campaign.

James HuckleRegular readers will know that both James and Jen represented their country in 10m air rifle events at London 2012, with James missing out on a place in the final by only a few points. Both will only be 25 years of age by the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and it’s hoped that this funding gives them the best opportunity to develop to their full potential by then.
