Jolly good fun at Alders Farm!

Jolly Roger Custom Rifles and Alders Farm Air Gun Range are holding an open day to raise money for The Royal British Legion, while bringing people together for a fun day’s shooting.

The 25-yard indoor range at Alders Farm will be offering introductory sessions with one-to-one instruction. The five firing points each have electric target retrieval systems, and there’s a large number of knockdown, spinning and moving targets as well. A half-hour session costs £10.

A competition will be running throughout the day on the 75-yard outdoor range, based on several different disciplines. The entry fee is £20, with cash prizes for the winners.

Kit from Jolly Roger Custom Rifles is building a rifle to be raffled for the RBL. It’s timed to commemorate 75 years since the D-Day landings, and will be themed on the Victoria Cross.

Several manufacturers will be present to talk to visitors, and the gun shop will be open. Sandwiches, cold drinks, tea and coffee will also be available.

The event takes place on 1 September at Alders Farm, Ivy Lane, Milton Keynes, MK17 9AH. Tel: 01525 261713
