The GB Target Sprint team have returned home with one silver and two bronze medals between them – along with eight individual finalist places and a bag full of international competition experience.

Rachel McManus claimed bronze in the Women’s Individual event and was part of the 7th place senior team. She commented: “I was thrilled to win bronze, especially as my preparations have been challenging. This competition has been brilliant – great team, great atmosphere, great support.”

Morten Van Der Schee, who won bronze at the 2018 World Championships, claimed silver this year in Suhl. Morten explained: “My running was strong, my shooting could have been better, happy with result.” Following his success earlier in at Ora, Jono Williams won bronze, close behind Morten.

Gorgs Geikie, the GB Team Target Sprint Leader, added: “The team atmosphere was great, with all the athletes across the whole GB Team – Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Target Sprint – supporting one another in a very positive manner.

“I would like to thank Robert Shawyer, the Target Sprint Team Support for all the work in the build-up and over the competition ensuring the athletes’ needs were fully prepared in every way to compete at their best.”
