As from 1st October, 2014, the English scope brand MTC Optics has been acquired by the Diana Group. Not to be confused with the German airgun manufacturer Dianawerke, Diana’s acquisition continues the expansion of its shooting portfolio into quality British companies, where it already owns the English PCP airgun brands Brocock and Daystate. Additionally, the Diana Group owns the Italian shotgun brands Breda and Marocchi.

In a statement on the acquisition, a spokesman for Diana said: “MTC Optics has a range of top-quality telescopic rifle sights and a well-established consumer base that will add an important contribution toward expanding the future growth and performance of the Group.”

Airgun Shooter understands that MTC Optics has been acquired as a going concern, so all warranties and after-sales information remains unchanged – and MTC’s existing management team of eight years, Gary and Sammie Cooper, will be remaining with the company for the foreseeable future. They told us: “As the takeover brings the Diana Group’s large customer base to MTC Optics, we’re confident that existing and new customers will be able to enjoy the advantages that come with the Group’s much larger distribution and administration network.”
