So what is the Ruger Targis Hunter Kit and what does the “kit” include?
Firstly, the rifle is break barrel gas-ram operated in .177 calibre. It is full power to the UK limit of up to 12ftlbs and wears a synthetic stock with some impressive rubber grip areas on the forend and pistol grip. It also has a good grip area on the butt pad, and is fitted with sling swivels.
The Ruger Targis Hunter is an adult-sized rifle, with a barrel length of 373mm, overall length of 1,134mm and a weight of 3.3kg. The barrel is pre-fitted with a chambered sound moderator and open sights, the rear sight
being adjustable for both windage and elevation.
There is an automatic safety which can be found inside the trigger guard, it’s a simple push forward to disengage and bring back to engage unit with a clear and secure feel.
A real benefit of the Targis Hunter Kit is the included Ruger 3-9x32AO scope. As far as scopes go, this model has a good spec and you wouldn’t usually expect such a good quality model to be included! It has a 3-9x adjustable zoom and is parallax adjustable from 7.5yds to infinity.
It also comes with its own lens covers and mounts. Umarex have put a lot of
thought into including a suitable scope with this kit, meaning that the additional purchase of an airgun scope is not required. The Targis Hunter kit also includes a black canvas sling that easily attaches to the pre-fitted
sling swivels on the rifle.
All in all, this is the perfect kit for anybody looking to either shoot small pests, targets, or both!
