Celebrating the 10-year fight to repeal the Hunting Act 2005, the Countryside Alliance has introduced this badge to raise funds

Show your support for hunting with this new badge. It’s been designed by the Countryside  Alliance to show that, a decade on from the ban on fox-hunting, ‘we’re still here, still hunting’…

While fox-hunting isn’t on the airgunner’s agenda, since hunting them with dogs has been banned, there has been unified support from all communities within the country sports – including shooting – to repeal the law.

Henrietta Rutgers of the Alliance’s hunting campaign said: “This badge is a celebration of hunting and signifies the strength of this great tradition which continues to survive ten years on from the introduction of The Hunting Act. All proceeds from the sale of this badge will go directly to the Hunting Campaign which continues to fight for repeal of this unjust and unworkable law.

The Hunting Act came into force on 18 February 2005 – but 10 years on, the UK’s hunts have not folded and, in fact, they have adapted to find new ways to hunt within the confines of the current legislation. The Alliance expects around a 250,000 people to support their local hunts on Boxing Day, later this month.

The badges cost £5 – and you can buy them here.
