Streamlight’s TLR range – First impressions

If you need a rifle-mounted lamp that can be attached to a Picatinny rail, then you’ll want to check out the TLR range from Streamlight.

Each light includes a key kit to securely fit the unit onto a broad array of rifle-mounted rails

Streamlight has introduced two new gun light kits that provide everything the shooter needs to mount them to their rifles and operate them using independently operated push-button or remote pressure switches.

The remote switch on the TLR RM 1, and the bigger and brighter RM 2, is designed to exit the rifle at a 90-degree angle, improving wire routing, while preserving rail space.

Both models are designed to quickly and securely attach to a Picatinny rail and, according to Streamlight, offer highly accurate sight repeatability when remounting.

The lights each feature the latest in power LED technology and include a custom optic that produces a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral illumination.

The TLR RM 1 offers 500 lumens, 5,000 candela and a beam distance of 140 metres, while the TLR RM 2 provides 1,000 lumens and 10,000 candela with a 200 metre beam distance. They feature 1.5 hours of continuous run time and also include a selectable strobe feature.

The TLR RM 1 and RM 2 Lighting Systems have suggested retail prices of £195 and £206 respectively.
