The British Shooting Show has agreed a deal to host their new show at Event City in Manchester until 2022

Under the new name of the British Shooting and Countryman Show, the events will debut on 19-20 September 2020.

The announcement comes in the wake of the cancellation of the BSS Liverpool by the city’s council. Shortly after the loss of Liverpool’s exhibition centre, Event City Manchester approached the BSS team, offering three exhibition halls large enough to launch the British Shooting and Countryman Show 2020.

John Allison, MD of The British Shooting Show commented: “With the continued success and support from all the manufacturers that exhibit at our long standing Great British Shooting Show held each year in February at the NEC Birmingham.

“Our additional show in the North will see again see all the finest manufacturers exhibiting along with the finest retailers, plus a massive 30 lane indoor Airgun Range, 24 practical pistols ranges, Demonstration Arenas, The Fieldsports TV Stage with live broadcast throughout the show. Everything you can think of or need from the British Shooting & Countryman Show!”

The show in September will compliment the established British Shooting Show, which is held at the NEC each February. John explains: “Having served the industry in February with its launches of new products, what’s next on their agenda?

“Point of sale; the launch has taken place, production starts and this means all the retailers start taking stock towards the end of August.

“The British Shooting & Countryman Show will provide the platform for instant point of sale and really get the ball rolling.”
