Youngsters now have a great reason to get Dad to dig into his pockets… and it needn’t be too deep, either. That’s because they’ve introduced the brand new Webley Cub air rifle – which includes a Nikko Stirling 4×32 Mountmaster scope in the all-up asking price of just £111.60.
The break-barrel rifle is proportioned ideally for youngsters, with a length of pull measuring just 345mm and a scoped-up weight tipping the scales at just 2.8kg. Its mid-powered action – available in either .177 or .22 – is easy to cock and boasts a rifled barrel with a tough synthetic shroud, and its hardwood stock is both stylish and easy to control in novice hands.
Appropriately, given its intended market, the Cub has an automatic (and resettable) safety catch and decent trigger let-off – not too heavy, and not too light. It’s even equipped with an anti-recoil plate to lock down the Duplex-reticled scope, making it a mouthwatering introduction to shooting for any aspiring young gun.
