Airgun Answers: Can I use magnetised tools on an electronic rifle?

I have a Daystate Pulsar and want to know if it’s ok to use magnetised tools near my rifle. Will they harm the electronics?

Some of the maintenance tools we use around our guns, whether it’s taking them out of their stocks or installing scope mounts, are magnetised to help keep hold of loose screws. There’s a belief that magnetised tools can harm electronics, but that’s only true in very specific and limited circumstances. Magnetised hand tools will not cause any issue while they’re being used in the vicinity of an electronic rifle like the Daystate Pulsar. Your only concern is to avoid directly touching the printed circuit board in the rifle with anything made of metal so that you don’t damage it.
