The new AirRam compressor smashes the personal compressor price barrier, retailing at only £699 including England mainland next-day courier delivery. This is less than half the price of most competitors, and brings a compressor into the affordable range of many individual shooters, clubs and retailers. Are the days of pumps and scuba tanks numbered?
The AirRam is completely self-contained, compact and fully portable, weighing in at 18kg (40lb) and measuring 35cm x 17.5cm x 38.3cm (14″ x 7″ x 15″). It fills a ‘buddy bottle’ from zero to 500ml at 300bar in under four minutes, and can also fill ‘on-gun’ PCP air cylinders with the standard Foster-style connector fitted to the hose. Diver’s bottles can also be directly filled, using the optional quick fill diver’s bottle adapter (RRP £19.99). Powered by standard mains 220-240 Volts AC / 50 Hertz supply (UK power cord supplied), the AirRam has a noise level of 82dB – perfectly acceptable in most garage, shed or workshop environments.
