Young people in Lincolnshire are being offered the chance to take part in an exciting new shooting competition this summer. Organised by the Junior Sports Programme, the Six-Yard Air Pistol Shooting Challenge is open to people aged 16 and under, and includes classes for experienced shots and novices. The postal competition is free to enter – all you have to do is shoot your official targets under adult supervision, either at home or at a club, and post them for judging. Prizes include gold and silver medals in all classes, Marksman certificates, £25 equipment vouchers and a chance to win coaching using Olympic-standard equipment.
Deadline for entries is Thursday 31 July, and all targets must be submitted by the end of August. Rules, entry details and target cards are available from local shooting clubs and Scout groups, or visit www.juniorsport.co.uk.
