Television presenter and celebrity chef of River Cottage fame, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has declared that while cutting down on wheat and dairy (for health reasons), he’s a little partial to squirrel meat!
The controversial personality revealed in a Daily Telegraph interview that his 15-year-old son, Oscar, “shoots squirrels for their meat with an air rifle.”
Apparently, they’ve been on HF-W’s menu at River Cottage for over a decade: “I’ve been seen killing and cooking them on my television programmes on two occasions,” said Hugh, “so I think it’s obvious that I’m comfortable making them part of my diet.”
