Pistol championships bigger than ever!

Competitors in the 2019-2020 season of the Schools Pistol Championships will be taking part in seven qualifying events to try to secure themselves a place in the National Final in January.

The Championships has been growing since it began in 2015, and qualifiers this season cover areas across England, Scotland and Wales. The new season of the Championships improves inclusivity to disabled participants.

Athletes with physical disabilities had been able to compete, excepting visual impairment and intellectual disability.

But this season welcomes all disabled athletes to compete. If needed, they will be able to shoot with a support for their wrist, but not the gun itself. In previous years this had been applicable to just the Junior age group, but now also applies to Intermediate and Senior athletes.

British Shooting is looking for people to help at the regional events. If you are interested, then please contact Gorgs Geikie at events@BritishShooting.org.uk
