Airguns on an international stage

Shooting shows don’t come much bigger than IWA Outdoor Classics. Here are just a few of the guns and accessories that raised eyebrows at this year’s four-day showcase in Nuremberg

Huntsman Genus

Daystate had some exciting new guns on show, including the long-awaited Huntsman Genus. This very special commemorative PCP has been produced to mark the business’s 40th anniversary, and features an eye-catching Minelli laminate stock with fishtail chequering and inlaid medallion, a bronze Cerakote finish, Huma regulator and 0dB silencer.

Umarex Ruger 10/22

This is the new Ruger 10/22 from Umarex. Modelled on the classic sporting rimfire, this recoilless .177 calibre airgun runs on two 12g CO2 capsules and features a 10-shot magazine for quickfire fun on the range.

Auxiliary Ballistic Laser 1500

Night vision supremoes ATN have added a very neat laser rangefinder to their hi-tech line-up. The Auxiliary Ballistic Laser 1500 fits the company’s NV and thermal units, reads range from 5 to 1,500m in complete darkness – and can even be set to pair with the optics to automatically adjust point of aim.

Stoeger XM1 S4 Suppressor

Boasting styling and fast-handling along the lines of a shotgun, the Stoeger XM1 S4 Suppressor is an extremely versatile precharged air rifle. Features include a customisable stock with interchangeable cheekpiece, pistol grip elements, a Picatinny side rail, multi-shot rotary magazine and single-shot loading tray.

Swat Prismatic

MTC’s new Swat Prismatic scope proved to be a real head-turner. Measuring just four inches from end to end, the high-quality, low eye-relief optic – which boasts 12x magnification – combines ultra compact proportions with a super-wide field of view.

Texan LSS

GunPower continues to push the boundaries of high-power airguns, and the new 500lb-ft .45 calibre Texan LSS is equipped with an oversized sound suppressor to deliver stealth alongside extreme knockdown power. The moderator can be retro-fitted to existing models of the Texan.

Impact Mk2

New releases on the FX Airguns stand included the famous Impact in Mk2 guise. The updated model features numerous improvements, including internal refinements, larger manometers and a high-capacity Side-Shot magazine.

Hades Pellets

The Hades is a hard-hitting pest control round from renowned Czech ammo company JSB. Based on the Exact Jumbo Heavy, the 16-grain .22 pellet combines roundhead precision with hollow-point shock delivery, and is claimed to expand even at lower velocities.

Eagle Vision

Anyone interested in shooting their own scope-cam video footage should check out the new attachment set-up unveiled by Eagle Vision. The customisable system enables you to look straight through the scope while recording the action through a side-mounted phone, camera or GoPro.

S510 TDR XS

Award-winning British manufacturer Air Arms has improved on what was already regarded by many as the finest takedown air rifle on the market, launching an XS variant of the S510 TDR. The new high-power model features a regulator, soft-touch stock and adjustable power.

Evolution Jacket

Ridgeline was showing off some great new garments that should be in the shops in time for autumn, including the all-new Evolution jacket. The full-length hunting jacket features seamless sleeves, a large, removable multi-adjustable hood, waterproof zips and much more.

V-Max Pistol
